Our signed Crown Trifari feather pin is from the Royal Plume Collection designed by chief Trifari designer, Alfred Philippe in 1955. Phillippe, a fine master craftsman at Cartier and at Van Cleef & Arpels, moved to Trifari in 1930 and remained the company’s creative director until his death in 1968. Under his creative leadership Trifari experienced its period of greatest acclaim. The wit, elegance and beautiful craftsmanship of his costume jewels are all reflected in our feather brooch. It is a small masterpiece, very much in the Van Cleef aesthetic, in which Philippe sets round and baguette rhinestones into a rhodium-plated body that is naturalistic, animated, timeless, and carefully designed to reflect light to greatest effect regardless of the surroundings.
