This period Edwardian travel necklace has all the characteristics sought by women of the fashionable set during the Belle Epoch. The dark colors, weighty jewels and widow's regalia that typified much of Queen Victoria’s long mourning period fell almost immediately out of vogue. In its place came the use of precious white metal, light and delicate settings and clear or pastel gemstones. Our necklace, meant to imitate fine jewelry affordably and convincingly, is fashioned of sterling silver with crystal accents, a spiderweb-like chain and an impressive imitation light blue sapphire. Well over a hundred years old, the necklace's fine construction and timeless design make it a practical fashion accessory today. Like so many quality objects of the past, our necklace seems to carry the spirit of its age as well as the skill of its manufacturer and obvious respect of its prior wearers. Condition: Excellent. Dimensions: Chain and pendant 10" drop.
